Okay this week's post is a tad late because i've been feeling under the weather and my impending return to the land of kimchi is less than 24hours away. Not that i'm the best at keeping to deadlines but hey my blog my rules. heh.
It's been a crazy week trying to keep up with doing this journal everyday, just a taste of what's to come when chummy and I try to finish the journal miles away from each other with minimal motivation. But for now I'm determined to kick my lazy procrastinating alter ego in the ass and get on the task.
As usual, I will be blogging my journey alongside my trusted and amazing chumster (her blog is all kinds of amazeballs) so do check her out as well! She's a lot better with keeping to the schedule and getting things done so i do recommend it.
PAGE FOUR (Monday, 6/7/15): Create a nonstop line.
Started all motivated to fill the page with lines and at the point above, my little excited inner-child died (RIP) and so I just joined a measly line to a maze to a heart.. my heart. Nah not really i'm not that deep of a person and i just really like drawing hearts.
PAGE FIVE (Tuesday, 7/7/15): Trace the things in your bag (or pockets). Let the lines overlap.
This one was actually a lot of fun since i never knew what kind of crap i really had in my bag until i cleared it out. It was also fun trying to figure out how i wanted to trace objects with multifaceted surfaces and trying to fit them all into the page.
PAGE SIX (Wednesday, 8/7/15): Tear out. Crumple.
Pretty self explanatory; crushed it stuck it on and voila. Honestly a good way to take a break from the more tedious pages.
PAGE SEVEN (Thursday, 9/7/15): Rub here with dirt.
Okay so i was super excited for this because i finally get to work with other elements and so i headed straight to the back garden and started grabbing handfuls of soil from the pots for the page.
Definitely one of the most fun pages i've done, just by getting down & dirty. Picked up a few loose leaves and a flower just for the fun of it and made a complete mess of the back garden but hey totally worth it.
7. see what i did there.
PAGE EIGHT (Friday, 10/7/15): Drum on this page with pencils.
Did this while watching a Korean melodrama, which was perfect since seeing middle aged women argue over the tiniest things made me aggravated enough to drum in hyperdrive. So thanks ahjummas.
PAGE NINE (Saturday, 11/7/15): Chew on this.
So chum actually had to do this one earlier in the week and she was complaining about how it tasted so actually landing on this page made me pretty freaked out. Not to mention i just had my wisdom teeth removed so chewing was a pretty bad idea at the time...
It was hard to do this at first but i figured putting my finger below and biting down on it would work so i did just that but tbh the result is pretty disappointing.. But hey never thought about trying to chew a book in my life so that was interesting-ish.
PAGE TEN (Sunday, 12/7/15): Cut through several layers.
Found a cool-ass pair of scissors in my mum's kitchen. Like it literally looks like a weapon out of a marvel comic. So as of today I shall call it 'The MULTISSORS'. Definitely a weapon i'd carry around if i ever get to realise my dream of being a superhero. (Superhero maker man, i want telekinesis and badass ninja combat skills kthxbye)
Aaaaand that's the end of the week. I think the tasks were pretty varied this week which was great since it could've become pretty boring after a while if it only involved sketching and drawing. Now i'm starting to get the sense of actually wrecking the journal and not being afraid of deviating from the clean and neat aspect of doing a journal or scrapbook. Looking forward for what's in store for the next few weeks!
Do check out my chum's blog if you haven't and see how she's been doing with her journal!
Till next week,
x
